Welcome- Team 573 - Mech Warriors

The mission of FRC Team 573 is to continue the work of FIRST as well as the mission of both of our schools. Our team strives to develop leaders intellectually, spiritually, culturally, and physically in a character-building environment. We have built on the already strong academic curriculums of our schools to promote and inspire science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We strive to develop skills that will be beneficial to our team members in their future.

FIRST is an acronym which means For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Inspiring teams world-wide to learn the engineering, innovation, and teamwork necessary to build a robot capable of competing, FRC, (FIRST Robotics Competition), has grown to include over 2000 teams internationally.

Benefits to FIRST participation include:

• Exposure to the writing skills and business planning used to market and promote the team and the competition robot
• Understanding of animating skills, website development and visual design
• Experience regarding the amount of work and collaboration that goes into a real engineering project
• Development of the leadership skills that are necessary to succeed in life

Members of FIRST Robotics Team 573, the Mech Warriors, attend Marian and Brother Rice High Schools located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The FIRST organization's emphasis on Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition reinforces the strong character values and morals that both Marian and Brother Rice High Schools expect their students to live out every day.
